Land and outbuildings
There are 4 fields in all. The land has been organic for 16 years since we bought this property, including the large vegetable and fruit garden ( which has a 3.25m x 3.75m glasshouse which is presently full of strawberry plants for early cropping. Tomato plants were planted between them).
There is a fenced off orchard with 2 absolutely brilliant cider apple trees, plum trees and cooking and eating apple trees. This area is also the chicken run.
The river Bran, which has small brown trout, runs through the land bounded by a variety of deciduous and conifer trees including one large eucalyptus and ornamental shrubs.

The house has lawned gardens to the front, side and rear. The rear garden has 2 herb beds and a small glasshouse (2.5m x 1.85m). Snowdrops, the first of the numerous flowers, begin to show their heads in January and from then on into summer the grounds of Glanbran and driveway will be ablaze with colour. We’re particularly proud of the wild orchids we have managed to encourage to prosper along the drive and the field with yellow rattle.
Previous owners opened the grounds to the public.
There is a large ornamental pond with small fish (but watch the heron!) at the bottom of the farmyard which is backed by a variety of trees. A red kite has been nesting in one tree for 4 years now and another tree has an occupied tawny owl box. Eight other small bird boxes house numerous species of birds.
A beautiful large lake in a field. (photo above & photos 1 - 4 in gallery)
