Overview

Llanfyllin, Powys

Set in an elevated position in a beautiful Welsh valley off a council-maintained no through road, the oldest part of the house is believed to be 400  - 500 years old, with the present, large lounge area originally an attached animal barn.  Since purchasing Hendy 7 years ago, the owners have spent considerable time and money transforming the property, whilst retaining all the original character.  Everyone who visits Hendy falls in love with it, and viewing is essential to appreciate its space and location.

Whilst in a totally private, rural location, Hendy is easily accessible from main routes.

The manège is approx. 20m x 40m with a wood chip surface.

General Information

Hendy has its own private water source via well (water pump fitted).  Both the house and the barn have separate cess pits and the barn has its own separate electrical consumer unit, water pump and LPG heating system enabling it to be run independently of the main dwelling.

The two-storey barn has recently been renovated to a very high standard.  The first floor has been left as open plan so it is a “blank canvas” for purchasers to either partition for holiday let etc (subject to relevant planning permissions) or leave as it is now, an excellent space for working from home, annexe for relatives etc.

For equestrian enthusiasts, as well as the manège, the property is surrounded by quiet roads and bridlewaysDyfnant Forest (approx 20 mins drive away) has dedicated riding and driving routes with fenced safe areas for horses to rest after exercise.
